My grandson Brody, born december 2010, has congenital heart disease.  He needed life saving open heart surgery at 12 days old at alder hey . This was a devastating time for all of us and very stormy.   Brody's conditions include asd, vsd, truncus arteriousus, interrupted aortic arch and has had 3 bovine parts transplanted in.  3 years on and our wee button is doing incredibly well and is such a strong, amazing little man. Fighting each day like a champion until his next surgery is needed.  We are riding 50+ miles from Manchester to blackpool through the night to raise money and awareness for BHF  .
