Steps To Hope
On the 30THof October STH founder Richie Roncero started
a 5 week campaign to raise awareness of and fundraising for the services provided by STH for the Homeless and those battling addictions.
His 5 Weeks rough sleeping campaign has taken him to Edinburgh,
Glasgow, London, Liverpool, Aberdeen and finished last week in Dundee with Ritchie returning to Edinburgh on Sat 4th.
I would have loved to have been at the station to have met
him but, myself and Glenn were on our way up to Skye to scope out what we hope will be a fitting and special Christmas Gift for Ritchie and all the beautiful brothers and sisters that make up the amazing Steps To Hope community.
On Christmas Eve this year myself and Glenn plan to climb up
onto the Skye Ridge and Am Bastier, abseil into the Bastier Nick (Cave) and spend the night out before descending on Christmas Day. Ritchie’s sleep rough campaign really brought home the harsh and debilitating reality that faces our homeless brothers and sisters every single day with little or no chances available to change their situation.
Our aim is simply to keep the issues highlighted by Ritchie’s
campaign alive in people’s minds and to raise additional much needed funds for the Steps To Hope team.
We chose Christmas Eve as it’s that one day of the year
where people are reminded of a couple who had no roof over their heads, the aim of the challenge is to
We hope that we can count on all our friends and supporters
who have contributed to our previous challenges to make this one our most successful yet.
