Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Colin Crowley, Chris Collier, Mark Jackson and Matt Holmes from Rawlinsons have created a relay team to complete the 40 mile 'Dale Destroyer' challenge on 16 August.

Our friend, Richard Astle, is Chairman of the nationwide charity, Shine, which supports anyone affected by spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus. These conditions may be unfamiliar to you but 1 in 1,000 children are affected by hydrocephalus, and every day, two women learn that their unborn baby has spina bifida.

To celebrate his 10th year as Chair, Richard is raising £25,000 to help Shine build their pioneering health centre, based in Peterborough, for their members to have more readily available access to a wide range of much needed health services

One of Richard's many challenges this year is to complete a 40 mile Derbyshire hike in just one day and we're going to be walking alongside him to help raise funds and awareness for this fantastic charity.
