Story
I'm doing what I love, with a fundraising twist for BBC Children in Need. Together we can support children and young people across the UK to rebuild their lives.
What used to be an annual event pre pandemic the 24 hour simulator endurance race is the ultimate test on both body mind and it returns for 2021.
The team consists of 2020 LMP3 champion & 2021 runner up - Rob Wheldon, Tim Shaw of Raw Motorsports, the leading handy man who works for Rob, Ben Leach who runs Pro Racing Simulators (and who is a sim pro despite what he may lead us to believe), Nick Vanderwurf who runs Lime Signs who specialise in signage, an avid car nut that loves motorsport and finally Matt Bell who raced for Raw Motorsports this year and won the 2021 Radical UK challenge championship.
Against 9 other teams we will take part in a qualifying session to decide the grid for a gruelling 24 hour race around the iconic Spa Francorchamps. Most people will stay overnight at the venue taking shifts on what is an exhausting experience.
I know it has been a difficult 24 months for the majority of us for varying reasons, however any donation is appreciated as for however hard the last 24 months have been Children In Need is daily struggle for children across the UK every year!
It’s down to us be generous and support those less fortunate. Every little helps so please donate as much or as little as you can afford.
Thank you.
