Story
On October 3rd 2021, my Dad and I will be running the London Marathon together to raise money for Focus Cancer Support, who are a charity providing extensive care throughout cancer treatment, based locally in Cheltenham where we are from.
As some of you may know, in September 2019, my Mum, Leisa, was diagnosed with throat cancer, which was awful and unexpected news. Thankfully, after a very intensive course of treatment, Mum is continuing to recover well and we would like to raise money as a big thank you to Focus Cancer Support, for everything they’ve done for my Mum throughout the most difficult time.
Focus Cancer Support (who are based in the Oncology Centre at Cheltenham General Hospital) were absolutely fantastic in providing expert support, advice and care for my Mum, from diagnosis through to post-treatment. Focus also ensure the journey through treatment is as comfortable as possible and provide many relaxing therapies such as massages, reiki and reflexology for patients, as well as having friendly faces around the hospital to offer advice and support.
They really are an amazing cause and any donation amount would mean a lot to my Mum and our family and would go towards funding specialist equipment, care and improvements to facilities for local cancer patients, so that their cancer journey is as comfortable and positive as possible, like my Mum fortunately received.

Thank you so much for your support!
