The London 10K has been the central challenge event of the SpecialEffect calendar for over a decade. At the start of 2020, we were hoping to gather our biggest team EVER to hit the streets of London. With the current situation, we're going virtual!

Story

Event Date: Sunday 5th July  Time: 09.00 BST

At the end of April SpecialEffect learned that the 2020 ASICS London 10K had been indefinitely postponed, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic social distancing measures.

With the possibility of the organisers arranging an alternative date later in the year highly unlikely in the current circumstances, they decided to take matters into our own hands and organise a ‘Virtual London 10K’ just for Team SpecialEffect runners!

Same date, same time, same distance – just running in your own locality and in accordance with the current Government guidelines at that time.

Colleagues and friends from Rare will be running, walking, cycling 6.1 miles or 10 kms to help SpecialEffect in the work they do, improving the quality of life for people with disabilities.
