Story
“Three marathons, all different (and some unusual!) for three incredible charities!”
First of all I would like to thank everyone who is taking the time to visit my story.
For anyone I have not met, I am a serving soldier currently based in Catterick Garrison at the ITC (Infantry Training Centre) and have completed over 22 years of service to HM The Queen and this fantastic nation. I have served all over the world and have also completed various operational tours, including Afghanistan, Iraq, Northern Ireland and Kosovo.
Additionally, I am a family man and have been blessed with four beautiful children (well… Most of the time anyway!). Nearly forgot! And of course, an amazing wife too… My sweetheart and a fantastic Mother to our children. ❤️
In recognition of the current and uncertain times we all face and to recognise the incredible work being done by our NHS and other key workers, I will complete three marathons, every Saturday, beginning on the 16 May. The detail is the following:
16 May - Standard marathon (individual best effort) 😳
23 May - Military uniform carrying up to 20KG’s of equipment (assault order) 💂🏻♀️
30 May - Fancy dress (I have some ideas!...) 👨🏼⚕️
The following charities will receive recognition for their exceptional work:
NHS Charities Together (COVID - 19 urgent appeal)
ABF (Army Benevolent Fund), The Soldiers’ Charity
PWRR (Princess of Wales’s Royal Regiment) Benevolent Fund
All money donated will make a huge difference to help and support these incredible organisations, no matter how small, it will all help.
I look forward to updating you all as I complete this journey. Again, thank you so much for taking the time to read my story and with your help, your support… Together we can make a difference… Please Donate. 👍🏻
