Hello, i'm Sarah from the Bass Department at Nexus Trust. I'm participating in this years Rag week which entails every music department from Nexus getting involved. Our aim for Rag week is to break 6 World Records in 6 days and raise £500 per student.

So what are the 6 World Records?

Vocals are aiming to sing for 32 hours. 

Guitar, Bass and Keys are aiming to play for 48 hours.

Drums are aiming to play for 72 hours. 

The 6th and final record will be 'The Most Musical World Records Completed In A Week.'

This shall be taking place from 29/4/13 - 3/05/13. 

What is the point?

Nexus is a fantastic cause as it not only a college for musicians to improve musically, but also provides 'Training for Life'. Nexus has been such a significant part of my life, it has taught me more in 5 months about life and myself than I would anywhere else. It has provided me with solid foundations in which I can continue to build on for the rest of my life. 

Even though Nexus is continually trying to raise money in order to keep the facility maintained, it does not cover all the costs needed in order to provide for the students. Rag Week is a major opportunity for the whole community to get involved and raise money for this great cause.
