Story

Rams in Kenya is an annual trip to the schools in the slums of Nakuru, Kenya, which invites Derby County fans, Derby County Community Trust supporters or simply anyone with an interest to take on the trip of a lifetime and improve life for children in the projects five partner schools.

I have done charity work in the past, but I think this is going to be the most emotional and challenging event over 2 weeks. Emotional, because these children have very little, I know I will find that difficult to see, we are so privileged and lucky. Challenging, because I have zero DIY skills and the work will be demanding

in that heat. However, I intend to get stuck in and hopefully, along the way make a few people laugh and smile too.

We all understand the current cost of living crisis, but please
support me on this where you can. The more we raise, the more we can do while we are out there. £90 will feed a school for 2 weeks. Don’t forget to tick ‘gift aid’ if you are a UK taxpayer.

Finally, to my Waldon colleagues, Wednesday hugs will be
happing in Kenya for 2 weeks in May 2023!

Thank you for your help x
