Story
Our amazing daughter Rani was born with Williams Syndrome and a congenital heart defect and following corrective heart surgery at 3 weeks old, lived a happy life for many years until January 2016. An issue remained and more surgery was required. Whilst her operation was a success, her heart wasn't strong enough to 'kick' back in and after 7 weeks of ECMO she was given a 10% chance of surviving the week.
As if by miracle we received an offer and Mr Hassan and his incredible team at Freeman Hospital gave Rani the heart transplant she so desperately needed. 10 weeks later she was home and 4 months on she is back at school and back to the amazing, happy girl that we love so much and so nearly lost.
We will forever be in debt to the amazing people at Freeman (and throughout the NHS), so would like to say thank you, in a small way, for saving Rani's life by raising funds to purchase much needed equipment for the Childrens Heart Unit Fund (CHUF).
Thank you x
