Event: Royal Parks Half Marathon 2019, on 13 October 2019
An iconic race through the most beautiful parks in London, to help create a future beyond cancer.

Story

For those of you that do not know my sister, Maddy, was diagnosed with cancer in April 2019. Maddy has been getting her treatment from the Royal Marsden which is a world leading specialist cancer treatment hospital based in London. Right since the diagnosis to the treatment, they have been extremely fast and the medical staff have done a great job so far on looking after Maddy. Maddy is the most amazing sister who I love very much and I really want to make her proud by running this half marathon and raising funds for the Royal Marsden Charity. Due to Maddy only being 20, she’s based in the children’s ward and knowing there are so many other young adults and children going through this really makes me want to raise money which can contribute to the Royal Marsden ensuring that Maddy and many others receive the best care from the doctors and nurses as well as research teams developing life saving treatments which are used across the UK and around the world.

Even small donations will be throughly appreciated for this cause, I know many of my friends are students but even £5 will go along way, from funding state-of-the-art equipment and groundbreaking research, to creating the very best patient environments, we will never stop looking for ways to improve the lives of people affected by cancer.
