Story

On Friday 26th March, I will be shaving my head in aid of the Royal Marsden Cancer Campaign http://www.royalmarsden.org/Campaign/Home/

With this dramatic event, I hope to raise important funds for this campaign and also highlight the issue of hair loss and the stigma that can be associated.

This is jointly to celebrate the lives of some friends who have faced great loss or illness themselves this year due to cancer with such admirable strength and courage, and the memory of a wonderful lady, Penny Deacon, who has been a true inspiration to me, as the first anniversary of her death approaches.

I will be donating my locks to a charity that makes wigs for those who have lost their hair through illness and hope that, despite the splattering of 'silver' hairs, it will come in useful for someone :-)

Any size or shape of donation really is greatly appreciated by me, the charity and all those it aims to help.

A massive thank you to my sister for being partly responsible for this, The Leukaemia Foundation of Australia for the idea and all of you fabby people for your support!

Big hugs,

Mands xxx
