On the late May bank holiday weekend, I will be participating in the Myeloma UK’s
bike ride from London to Paris. This cause is dear to me and my family because
my wife Nancy was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in 2014 which is a complex,
rare, blood cancer in the bone marrow. While Myeloma is treatable it
still remains an incurable cancer. Myeloma UK is a wonderful organisation
that has helped doctors fund trials for patients to help generate new drugs
into their pipeline. They provide support for patients and families, who
are newly diagnosed, and they also keep patients and families informed of new
developments in research and treatments.
I am not really a cyclist, as anyone with eyes can tell, and
I am not certain that I can even finish the ride but if I show half the
toughness and perseverance that patients of Myeloma show then I hope to
succeed. I am asking all of you to help
me raise money for the cause and have included a link to my Justgiving page to
make this as easy as possible. Please be
generous and see the link below.
