Story

Welcome to our JustGiving page for the 2011 Kilworth Challenge to help us raise money for charities that provide specialist care for disabled, seriously ill and impoverished children.

The Kilworth Challenge is a charity competition event that takes place in Leicestershire over two days at the end of May. The ‘challenge’ element comes in the form of a gruelling series of physical and mental tasks roughly every mile, for thirty miles.

These include assault courses, mile long sprints, raft races, mental puzzles, and much much more. And to top it off we’ll be starting at 7.30am and spending the night under canvas! Think of it as Crystal Maze meets Total Wipeout, but in a slightly funnier, slightly more painful manner!

Please give generously, more information about the event, and the charities that we’re supporting can be found below:

The Kilworth Challenge (www.kilworthchallenge.co.uk)

Dukes Barn: looks beyond a person’s disability and delivers exciting and enriching outdoor adventure experiences (www.dukesbarn.org)

Menphys: supports children and young people with disabilities by through the provision of specialist nurseries, and support for families (www.menphys.org.uk)

Over the wall: is a very special place for children affected by cancer and serious illnesses. OTW provides a week of fun, friends and an opportunity to be themselves (www.otw.org.uk)

And many, many more wonderful and worthwhile charities – please check out the website for fuller details.
