Friends of Asha (GB) raises money and awareness for the work of Asha Community Health and Development Society. Asha works in 90+ slum colonies in Delhi, India. It improves health and provides support and education for over 750,000 slum dwellers, enabling them to make positive changes to their lives.

Story

Do you wish you could do more during the Global Pandemic to help Asha's work in Delhi?  Asha is supporting existing health and education programmes as well as doing their best to alleviate malnutrition in the slums of Delhi, as a result of the poor not being able to work during the pandemic.  Many of Asha's students have taken on a role as "Asha Warriors" taking food, advice, and encouragement to the most hard hit in Delhi's slums.

We are encouraging our supporters to support this effort by collectively walking the distance of 4500 miles in their daily exercise from now until Easter.  You can do a short distance each day, or longer trips occasionally.  Just log how far you walk, and encourage others to support you by walking as well, or donating (or both) to Asha's Covid Appeal through this page.  Don't forget to include a comment telling us how far you walked.
