Manjit Singh Riyat helped to establish emergency services at Royal Derby Hospital. Being a first sikh consultant in UK, he showed his sardar(leadership) qualities. He was a well respected colleague and a devout sikh man. I want to pay tribute to him by dedicating 200km run to his noble soul and raising money to support our NHS at this crisis time. By this Derby and Burton Hospitals Charity will be able to support each and every ward, clinic, minor injuries unit and accident and emergency centre with whatever they need.Whether that is thermometers, new pillows for patients, tea and biscuits for the staff when they manage to get a break or support for staff who cannot get home and are worried about their own families and children whilst treating others.Our NHS needs you now, more than ever.
