My beloved mother passed away on 31st March 2020, in India with a Cardiac Arrest. She was in good health. She made breakfast, did all the house work and made lunch for herself and my dad. Due to being in lockdown, she wanted to go for a quick stroll outside and within minutes she collapsed on the road. By the time, someone noticed and informed my Dad, he rushed her to hospital where unfortunately Doctors announced it was too late.
During Covid-19, no one from my family can travel to India and give my Dad the support he desperately needed, just to hug him and tell him we well get through this – all I could do was phone him with support. The whole world went through such a difficult and challenging time.
No one can be prepared for what is happening. Please spend time with your loved ones– it takes a few seconds to make a phone call and cherish the moments you have with your loved ones. You never know how much your life can change within seconds.
2 years later when the event could finally take place, this bike ride meant more to me than ever before. In Feb 2022, I lost my dad. He was here with me by my side. I couldn’t say goodbye to my mum, however I was right beside my dad to the very last second. He too, passed away with a stroke.
I am proud to be raising money for BHF in loving memory of my parents.
Thank you for supporting me.
