RAPTÖR 2021 · 14 July 2021 to 18 July 2021 ·

Our inaugural adventure for folk from the insurance industry who share a passion for cycling and may not be averse to doing a bit of networking from the saddle.

Story

Action Medical Research is the leading UK-wide charity saving and changing children’s lives through medical research. Almost everyone has been touched in some way by our ground-breaking work, like the first polio vaccines in the UK, ultrasound in pregnancy and the rubella vaccine. Action is an amazing charity funding foundational medical research for over 60 years - they deserve your support in these trying times, and I'm going to spend 4 days this July hurting myself on a bicycle to encourage you.

Action Medical tried to put together the first London (re)insurance market London-Paris ride in 2020, just in time for COVID to spoil that idea. Creativity saves the day for 2021 in the form of a rebooted "Raptor" ride - 320 miles/ 510 km round the North & South Downs of Southeastern England. The same distance as London-Paris, but with more climbing, making for a better challenge.

All logistical costs associated with the ride have been covered out of my own pocket. Every penny you give will go directly to supporting Action's essential ground-breaking research
