Virtual Relay Race · 1 July 2020 ·

We offer local care and support to those affected by life-limiting illness

Story

What's going on

We're going to collectively run, walk and ride the distance from Poole to Canary Wharf and then Radbroke Hall in order to raise funds for worthy causes. We hope to double what we raise through the Barclays COVID-19 Colleague Matched donations Programme. The distance along the route is about 457kms and our goal it to make it there an back.

Who are we Supporting

The team suggested some very worthy hospice charities for us to raise money for through our virtual relay race, Forest Holme Hospice and St. Michael's Hospice (North Hampshire). Hospices like these provide incredible standard and palliative care and support to their patients 365 days a year and have been hard hit by the COVID-19 crisis. They rely heavily on charitable donations and any help we can give them will help support them while they support so many others.

About the charity

Forest Holme Hospice Charity was set-up to ensure that everyone in the local community affected by a life-limiting illness or bereavement gets the care and support they need, either at home or in our dedicated hospice facility. We need to raise £1M each year to deliver the highest level of care.
