Story
I'm fundraising for Red Balloon once again this year because their fantastic work does not stop! They continue to support children who can't go to school because of bullying, mental health difficulties and/or other trauma in their lives.
This year I'm doing things a bit differently! In previous years I've done a distance challenge - first 1000km, then 1000 miles, then 1000km outside (none on my turbo trainer). However this time I'm going to physically visit all of the Red Balloon locations in the UK. My schedule is as follows:
Peterborough - 1st May
Norwich - 6th May
North West London - 13th May
Reading - 20th May
Danbury 27th May & Worthing 28th May (this one has an overnight stop!)
...and I'll also be calling in at the local centre and Group HQ here in Cambridge in-between times.
At Red Balloon, children can find a safe place to recover emotionally and to rediscover their love for learning. They can make kinder friends and begin to trust again. They can also gain qualifications that will help them get into college and get back on track to fulfilling their dreams.

There are some 16,000 children missing from school because of bullying or trauma. That's why I'm taking part in this year's Red Balloon Ride. I'd love it if you could sponsor me!
