Story

My story:

This appeal is in the name of my late grandma, Zabida Bibi. My grandma meant a lot to us and we were very close with her, she played a big role in bringing us up. Allah chose the most blessed month of Ramadan for her to return to the Creator. (03/05/20). Her last words were “donate money to charity” and that is exactly what I’m doing.

Spread the joy of Eid by donating a gift to an orphan or vulnerable child. There is a widespread practice to spend more in aiding the poor to enable them also to enjoy and celebrate Eid. One such practice is the exchanging and giving of Eid gifts, also known as Eidi or Eidiya, in particular to children. In a Prophetic narration, it is mentioned: Give gifts to one another, you will love each other. (al-Adab al-Mufrad).Eid gifts generally include new clothing, shoes, toys, chocolates and school equipment.
