Let's kick gynae cancers arse - Isle of Wight Hike
Fundraising for The Eve Appeal
Fundraising for The Eve Appeal
As many of you know, my mother died suddenly from uterine cancer just under 2 years ago. The time between her diagnosis and death was a matter of days - it is something that our family will never get over. Yet, her story is not unique. Many of you will have similar stories of loved ones you have lost and it need not be like this. Over the last two years I have made it my mission to raise awareness of gynaecological cancers, and to help The Eve Appeal with their research. With the help of my dear friend Maria and your generosity we have raised nearly £2200 for the Eve Appeal over the last couple of years.
On the 13th/14th May Maria and I plan to hike the coast path around the Isle of Wight. It is going to be our most challenging walk yet and we could really do with your support to help us get round. Any donation great or small will be gratefully received.
Those of you who have seen my Facebook page will know that the Eve Appeal has made some major headway with diagnosis, awareness and prevention. The research they do is phenomenal and will help save the lives of many women in the future. My children have to live without their Nanny, but with the help of the Eve Appeal, it is my hope that we can help other children have their mums, grandmothers, aunts and sisters around them for much longer.
