One Cause is an educational charity that I founded and help run. We are a UK registered charity committed to raising awareness and funds for the provision of education to those around the world that have little hope of being given the opportunity to flourish. Our aim is to provide a socially, financially and environmntally self sustaining model so that local communities are empowered and equipped to pursue a more enhancing and sustainable future.

We are currently working on a 5 year programme with a school in India (Nirvana School, Tamil Nadu, India) and will be starting a second 5 year programme in 2009 with a school in Kenya.

In our first year (March 2008 - March 2009), we have completed the following projects at Nirvana School:

1. Provided Basic Spoken English training to all teachers
2. Provided Advanced Spoken English training to the advanced teachers
3. Invested in a Reverse osmosis filtration water plant to provide drinking water to all students and teachers.
4. Purchased 21 computers, workstations and set up computer room at Nirvana school.
5. Investment in English and Tamil educational texts.
6. Connected all computers to broadband.
7. Established links with top end UK school.
8. Structured an incentive scheme to reduce the teacher turnover
9. Coordinated the annual sponsorship of 37 children to date.
10. Created a web page with links to educational resources for the children at Nirvana school.
