Water Aid serves the vulnerable across the globe, whether Christian, Muslim, Hindu, etc. They focus on developing infrastructure to secure a clean water supply as well as sanitation projects and education on avoiding water-borne diseases.

Dad had a tender heart and was very generous in giving, despite his modest means. We have been looking through his cheque book stubs lately, which are filled with charity donations - and we were not surprised to discover the breadth of causes that he supported. To name some: the Salvation Army, Surti Orphanage, Care International, the British Heart Foundation, the British Red Cross, Imran Khan Cancer Appeal, Macmillan Cancer Support, Edhi Foundation, and so on.

His varied concerns reflected his belief that Muslims should spread their love and benefit to all of humanity. In honour of this belief, which he instilled in us, we have chosen three causes (one local, one national and one international), which will help to continue benefiting humanity for many years to come (sadaqa jariya insha'Allah).
