Story
We said we would never do it again but Helen, Helen and I are running the London marathon in 2023 !
This cruel and awful disease has become a part of the Hathaway's life and it’s not fair. They are an amazing family and Baz is so funny and kind, the first time we met him he rescued our dog after he got lost, typical Baz behaviour.
The Helen’s and I run a lot in the mornings and we laugh, cry and put the world to rights. We also see first hand how the Hathaway’s have to cope and make some awful decisions to deal with the unimaginable every day that MND brings.
Helen and Baz are incredible and never moan just making the most of what they have. I truly value their friendship and our runs have certainly kept me going through all the lockdowns more than they will know.
This is our way of giving back and supporting them and raising as much money as possible for the MND Association.
Thanks

Motor neurone disease (MND) is a progressive disease that attacks the motor neurones, or nerves, in the brain and spinal cord. This means messages gradually stop reaching muscles, which leads to weakness and wasting.MND can affect how you walk, talk, eat, drink and breathe. However, not all symptoms necessarily happen to everyone and it is unlikely they will all develop at the same time, or in any specific order.Although there is currently no cure for MND, symptoms can be managed to help you achieve the best possible quality of life.
