Story
In July, we – Adam Hart, Lucas Penn and Lucas
Wagner – are planning to undertake a major bicycle challenge, to ride the length of the Pyrenees from the Atlantic Ocean to the Mediterranean Sea.The ride, known as the ‘Raid Pyrenean’ follows a historic route traversing the great mountain range, crossing many of the cols made famous by the Tour de France. The route is 720km (450 miles) long, with 11,000m (36,000 ft) of vertical ascent: that is the equivalent of cycling from Chepstow to Anglesey and back to Chepstow, climbing Snowdon ten times en route. The task is to complete it in 100 hours. It is a huge challenge.
Every week in the UK at least 12 apparently fit and healthy young people die of undiagnosed cardiac conditions. With your donation, CRY can reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death (YSCD) by working with cardiologists and family doctors to establish good practice and appropriate screening facilities to promote and protect the cardiac health of our young. By supporting CRY you will help save young lives from these potentially fatal cardiac conditions. See how your support can help by visiting www.c-r-y.org.uk
