Story
Thank you for visiting and hopefully donating to my page! Like a lot of people I took up running in lockdown as something to do, fast forward a couple of years and I'll be running the London marathon for the second time and fundraising for Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall Hospice in Peterborough.
Thorpe Hall became a special place for me in 2011. My Mum (Maggie) spent some time there before eventually going home for her final days. During that time they were absolutely amazing with not only my Mum but also myself and my family. They were all so good at knowing what you'd want and when you'd want it. I know its "their job" but nothing was too much trouble. I actually looked forward to spending time there which sounds strange in the circumstances!
I know my thoughts and opinions are echoed by my friend Darren's parents too. I spoke with them and they were happy for me to mention them when writing this. They couldn't speak highly enough of the Hospice and all involved.
Thank you for reading.... and donating of course!!! This will mean a great deal to myself and to Thorpe Hall as I run in the memory of my Mum, Darren and all those that hold Sue Ryder and Thorpe Hall close to their hearts x
