Story
Hey everyone, thank you for taking the time to visit my justgiving page.
My name is Rafael Shekarchi and on the 4th March 2023 I will be taking part in the Great Ormond Street Hospital Tower Climb. I'm doing this in memory of my brother, Samuel Shekarchi, who sadly passed away on August 17th 2003 aged 6.
Samuel had a rare form of cancer called Neuroblastoma which mainly affects babies and young children. He was diagnosed aged 4 and struggled for 2 years, being unable to eat and eventually becoming paralysed. Despite all this, he always managed to stay positive and brave, and I cherish the short time we had together.
Great Ormond Street Hospital, known for their groundbreaking research and special care dedicated to children, supported Samuel and my family during the most difficult time in our lives, and we are eternally grateful for everything they did. Their efforts to look after and help my brother will never be forgotten, and I am fundraising for them so that they can continue to help thousands of young children with serious illnesses. All the proceeds of this Tower Climb will go directly to GOSH, and my goal is to run up the 896 steps without stopping, because how hard can it be?
Any donations to this wonderful charity will be greatly appreciated and I will be forever grateful.
To Samuel, I miss you more and more everyday. Love you, bro ❤️
