Story
From the 11th October to 11th November, Red Watch from RAF Coningsby Fire Section are raising money for SSAFA by completing "Race the distance for Armistice Day"
SSAFA is the UK's oldest national tri-service military charity, and sets out to provide life long support to the serving men and women and veterans from the British Armed Forces and their families or dependants. SSAFA supports our forces through the transition process from the military to civilian street, providing welfare services to family members of the Armed Forces community. Give veterans physical and emotional support, social care and housing to current and ex-service personnel, supporting servicing personnel, their families and veterans with anything relating to disability and helping to cope with the bereavement, injury and other forms of stress.
Red Watch will be completing "Race the Distance" in a variety of distances ranging from 2km to a Marathon, either by running, walking, cycling or swimming to raise the money for SSAFA their chosen charity.
Red Watch personnel taking part are:
• Sgt Brown
• Cpl Evans
• Cpl Hutchinson
• SAC Puzey
• SAC Atkinson
• SAC Hill
• LAC Brown
• LAC Butcher
Any donations would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you for your support
