Story

I am running the MDS in March 2022 which is a 250km foot race across the Sahara Desert.

I have to be self sufficient for the 6 days of the race, you may well have seen me running around Norwich with my bright yellow backpack for my training.

I was originally due to run the MDS in April 2020 with a friend to celebrate a milestone birthday for him.  Obviously the 2020 edition of the MDS didn't happen and like a number of other runners I lost my way with exercise during 2021.

When my friend returned with amazing stories from his adventure with the MDS in October 2021 it gave me the kick up the backside I needed to decide if I was going to go or not...and here we are.

My wife (who is always right) informed me that if I was going to such a silly amount of training then I had better try and raise some money along the way.

Our daughter was diagnosed with Epilepsy when she was 6 years old.  She is pretty resilient with it, but like all parents if I could make it go away then I would.  If me running across the Sahara raises a few much needed pennies and awareness then I guess I may have to concede my wife may indeed have been right.

You will be able to track me when Im in the desert and you will be able to send me messages.  I will post this information as soon as I have it.
