Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My cheeky little cousin Shiv was diagnosed with a life threatening illness in 2014 called Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). It is an incredibly rare genetic condition in boys which affects only 250,000 people of our 7.3 billion global population, and has already started to affect his quality of life at the ripe old age of only five. It has no cure and we are trying to raise as much money as possible so that Muscular Dystrophy UK can bring out relevant medicines to help boys like Shiv.

As I have picked up a training injury whilst preparing for the London Marathon this year I will now be deferring my place and joining team Leap4Shiv instead in jumping out of a plane at 10,000 feet! With a parachute of course.

Please donate whatever you can towards the cause and you can find more information on the Leap4Shiv justgiving page or on www.smilewithshiv.org.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
