Story
Last year it was the London Marathon, so this year we upped the distance, and have gone with an Ultra Challenge Walk. On 1st April several of the ladies from Slough Hockey Club will be taking on a 50Km walk from Windsor Racecourse.
This is in support of our very good friend Deb, who was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease 18 months ago. In this short period of time we have seen Deb deteriorate from super fit, healthy and active to requiring 24/7 ventilation and home care, with now no muscle movement from her neck down. This cruel and debilitating disease continues to be underfunded despite the recent focus of celebrities such as Doddy Weir, Rob Burrows and Kevin Sinfield. There is no cure, there is no treatment, and we must do more!
So if you can spare a £ or two to help us through this ultra challenge then team ‘Making strides for MND’ would be very grateful. All your donations go directly to MNDA to help support families impacted such as Deb and Ray.
Thank You 🙏
