Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Hearing Dogs For Deaf People gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
On the 5th October I am running the Great North Run in Newcastle (13.1miles) in aid of Hearing Dogs for Deaf People.
Hearing Dogs for Deaf People is an amazing charity who help to support and train hearing dogs and their owners across Great Britain. 1 in 7 people suffer from some form of hearing disorder and hearing dogs are used to carry out simple tasks such as alerting their owner to the sound of the door bell, alarm clock, smoke alarm and other sounds which we take for granted.
Hearing Dogs receives no government funding and relies solely on the generosity of individuals and organisations in order to keep helping deaf people and unwanted dogs. I am running for this organisation as a very close family friend suffers from severe deafness, their dog has just finished her training as a hearing dog and is making Annette's life much easier and enjoyable. At present hearing dogs are not widely recognised, I am hoping that i can spread the good word of the work that they are carrying out and raise £250 for a very worthwhile cause.
Any donations and support would be greatly received.

Many thanks for your support and to those who have already donated. I will send you all some photos and let you know how i got on if i survive!
(p.s. i will be running dressed as a dog!)
