To commemorate the 100th anniversary of The Battle of the Somme, I will be riding 352 miles in 6 days, following Kitchener's route that the British army marched to the Somme.  Not only is it a tough physical challenge – we’ll be covering over 60 miles a day – but an emotional one too. The route will take in the major battle sites including Arras, Ypres and the Somme, and the breathtaking, historical monuments at Thiepval, Vimy and The Menin Gate giving an opportunity to reflect on the sacrifices of our soldiers 100 years ago.
