Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On 23rd April 2023, I will be running the London Marathon to raise money for Young Lives vs Cancer.
I will be running alongside my best friend Eleanor, who is a paediatric nurse at Medway Hospital. Eleanor primarily cares for oncology children throughout their journey, from diagnosis to treatment. Over many cups of tea, I have heard the remarkable challenges in which these children tackle everyday and often find myself in awe of the strength and resilience which the young children and their families find in the toughest of times.
The work which Young Lives vs Cancer does is vital in the journey of many children and their families. Too often, young cancer patients and their families do not get the support they need from the government. Young Lives vs Cancer bridges the gap through day-to-day support, financial help, nursing support from home, bereavement support and so much more, to keep families together when it matters most. Young Lives vs Cancer help families find the strength to face everything cancer throws at them, but they can’t do it without us.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my page, if you wish to make a donation to help us towards our goal, we would be hugely greatful.
Thank you,
Rachel
