Sponsored 45 mile walk in 3 days to raise money for Strongbones Children’s Charitable Trust!
That’s right…….im trading in my heels for walking boots!!! Anyone who knows me (outside of work), probably haven't seen me in flat shoes…let alone walking boots! However, as many of you already know……. I will be REPRESENTING SOMERSET as a Miss Universe GB finalist, so it had to be out of my comfort and actually a challenge to be able to do Somerset proud!
The Charity….. All monies raised by Miss Universe GB 2012 finalists for The Hemraj Goyal Foundation this year will go to Strongbones. Strongbones is a children's charitable trust which helps alleviate the pain and suffering of children with scoliosis, brittle bone disease, arthritis, bone cancer and all other conditions of the bone. Miss Universe GB 2012 is expected to raise in excess of £50,000 for its charities.
Where…..Wiltshire, Ridgeway
Route...... 45 miles across the chalk downs between Overton Hill on the A4 and Streatley Youth Hostel (Apart from a slight variation between Barbury Castle and Whitefield Hill, the route follows the ancient track known as the Ridgeway.
Timescale.. We are aiming to complete it in 3 days!
Who…. Myself and the amazingly supportive Becky Archer

Proof…… During our 3 day Trek in the wilderness, we will take photo evidence, have a ‘walkers book’ for people we meet on the way to sign and keep our own personal record of the journey as proof that we didn’t just wave goodbye and catch a bus to the end!! It will all go onto the facebook group ‘Rachel Metcalfe for Miss Universe GB’, which I will be adding people to shortly.
