Story
Firstly, thanks for clicking on the link to read more!
I am taking on the challenge of the London Marathon to raise funds for the ground-breaking, and often world-leading, mental health research at the University of Sussex, where I work.
As you may have guessed, I am not a naturally gifted runner. I am slow and have to work really hard to have a chance of completing the marathon, but with you behind me and such a great cause to support I can do this.
Please make a donation of whatever you feel comfortable with to help make a difference to people's lives (and help get me over the finish line!). Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the University.
I was originally due to do the 2020 London Marathon, which was cancelled due to the pandemic. Instead, I ran the equivalent of a marathon in the week it had been due to take place and I am now training for the London Marathon on 23 April 2023.
A huge thank you to everyone who has bourn with me through all this long time - the wait is nearly over!
I will post updates from time to time to let you know how I am getting on and tell you about some of the great research that is spurring me on - but I won't spam you with a message every time I lace up my trainers.
Wish me luck!
