Story
I was really lucky to gain a place in the London Marathon through the general ballot and while on maternity leave for all but three weeks of training, its an opportunity I could not miss.
For a while I really wasn't keen to push my body with all the training required but with the help and support of my lovely husband doing lots of babysitting and a friend from running club motivating me all the way - here I am! Luca is now nearly 9 months old and I'll be really proud of my achievement after completing 26.2 miles on Sunday April 17th!!
I am raising money for the National Autistic Society which provides support for people with autism and Asperger syndrome and their families. Working for the charity has enabled me to visit our schools, appreciate the advice provided by our helpline, see the great work our campaigns team do with government and the information we can provide.
Money raised from this challenge will really make a difference.
