Thankyou for all you kind support, I completed the great north yesterday in a time of 2hrs 40. Gruelling knee pain when I got to 10 miles, but I plodded on and made it. Thanks again, all in the name of fun... :-)

The RNLI has been a big part of my life since I was born, my father still continues to be involved and my husband is a Helmsman at Lytham St Annes. I see first hand the courage, time and effort that these volunteer heroes go through, saving lives as part of the routine. I'm running the Great North as a personal challenge to me and a good opportunity to raise money for a much needed charity.
