Story

As many of you already know, I always seem  to have an event  booked to keep me motivated and on my toes and this time it’s the London Landmarks HM.

There are several reasons for choosing  to raise funds for Breast. Cancer Now.  Sadly,  in 2014  my Aunty Sheila passed away from breast cancer and I myself had a pre cancerous lump removed in 2018. Following this I was on a programme  to have  annual mammograms for the next 5 years. The last of these was in October 2023 where unfortunately further abnormalities were detected in 2 places.  During the  last couple of months of 2023 I underwent several biopsies and one vacuum assisted excision to remove further pre cancerous cells just before Christmas. I am  fortunate again in  that all the tests came back and there was no cancer, but had these been left they most certainly would’ve turned to cancer.  I’m now back into another programme of annual mammograms for the next 5 years and for this I am grateful ☺️

I just want to do something to give back and help towards the vital services that this charity provides.

This time  around I have hired a running coach to help me both mentally and physically and my training plan is well underway. Fingers crossed for an injury free  3 months!  🤞🏻🤞🏻

If you can spare any amount of money, I’d be extremely grateful.

Thank you  😊
