There's certainly something that helped my own mental health over the past two years during lockdown and the pandemic, and that was walking. I walked miles and miles and loved the great outdoors. So, I thought this would be a good thing to do.
I am taking on this Epic challenge to challenge myself, learn new skills but most of all have fun whilst raising money for an important charity. Everyone's mental health is extremely important, not only will be I be making lasting memories I will be able to contribute to better mental health for everyone and my communities.
The 5 day intense survival course begins with a crash three day course in Bear Grylls survival techniques and culminates in an epic self-rescue survival challenge. Pushing myself to the limit crossing difficult terrain and putting all my new found skills to the ultimate test in order to make my way back to civilisation. The trek will include setting up a survival camp, forage for food, prepare and cook wild food, cross rivers, scramble, raft, rappel and zip line across a high gorge.
