UPDATE 2020.
WHOOP WHOOP IT HAS HAPPENED THANK YOU ALL SOOOOOOO MUCH FOR YOUR SUPPORT OVER THE PAST 3 YEAR'S.
So following the cancellation yet again of my wing walk in May 2020 . I have another date!!!!!!!
🙈🙈🙈🙈
Sunday 2nd August 2020 is now the date I will be eventually completing my WING WALK in aid of the Great North Air Ambulance.
This is my final push to make my final amount of money for such a fantastic cause.
I know alot of you have already sponsored me however anyone who hasn't any further donations will be greatly received.
🙈🙈🙈🙈 The Nerves are kicking in already! 🤣😬
Update due to engine issues August and Sept 2019 my flight has been postponed until May 16th 2020. All money raised so far will be sent to Air Ambulance but still looking to raise as much as I can.
Late 2016 always looking for new challenges but wanting to be typical Rachel and of course different it wasn’t hard to decide on the wing walk but the challenge was way bigger than I thought. To start with I had to check my height and weight. Just making it with my height but having no chance with my weight!
The first challenge began in January 2017 when I joined SlimmingWorld. Reaching the desired weight and more now being nearly 3 1/2 stone lighter in January 2018, I started to plan the actual event, but then the carrot was dangled that I might be able to do this challenge in Northumberland so I put the plans on hold in hope that I could fly over the village I was brought up in and over the grave yard my dad is buried in. I agreed I would wait until early 2019 in hope that this could happen. Unfortunately the the airfield is up against a few hurdles and they are not getting their license this year so I have booked Saturday 3rd August 2019 in Yorkshire, now rescheduled for 16th May 2020. I am hoping that some family and friends will join me to watch me participate in this most amazing adventure. I will be gaining video footage of this and will post it on social media, once it has been sensored 🤬. The Air Ambulance is a fantastic service who when living in rural Northumberland you never know if you may need it. So I am asking for any support anyone can give to a fantastic service.
