Maggie's Manchester needs your support now more than ever. We are here supporting people with cancer and their families who are worried and anxious that their treatment plan might be changed and wondering what coronavirus means for them.

Story

My mum, Rachel Turner, was diagnosed with grade 3 aggressive breast cancer on 19th January 2021. It has been a tough journey of ups and downs but no matter what mum always has a smile.  On 19th August 2021, we received the fantastic news that the treatment so far is successful, there are no signs of the cancer. There is still a long way to go with ongoing treatment but we know it's belts and braces.

I am going to swim 212 lengths/3.30 miles on 26th November - the number of days mum was having treatment before the amazing news. The money raised is going to Maggie's Manchester. Maggie's is a charity that supports anyone who's been affected by cancer. They could use our support now more than ever. They are a lifeline fore people with cancer and their families who are worried and anxious that their treatment plan might be changed and wondering what Coronavirus means for them. Maggie's nurses are working shoulder to shoulder with their NHS colleagues by providing a place to take a break and rest, as well as advice and comfort to patients at a time when they need it most via one to one phone, email or facetime sessions.

Everything they achieve depends on the kindness of donors like you.

"We will always be there for people with cancer but we need you alongside us. Please do whatever you can to help by supporting us today."
