So with a 'biggy' birthday fast approaching I have decided instead of any cards or gifts etc (I literally have all I want with my gorgeous daughter Josie) and also dragging my school friend who has the same special birthday as me, to do a 15,000ft sky dive on 17th October 2020. 

All the money raised goes to the Grand Appeal that are specifically for Bristol Children's Hospital in that they provide amazing research, equipment, treatment, accommodation for parents and even things like a teddy bear on national teddy bear day for all the children there (Josie loved hers!).

They are just phenomenal and literally saved our Josie. Josie was born with a very rare and complex faulty heart. The prognosis for her was extremely poor and we were wanting to provide her with a lovely life, even if this was unforgivably short. Our Josie though had other plans and despite the numerous harrowing consultations advising on what would happen, Josie decided differently and was developing as any other baby would. 

At 4 months old health reviews were undertaken and Josie was able to undergo a life saving heart operation. This procedure was a great success and Josie is able to potentially have some time now without any further intervention.  The future is still uncertain for us, however with Josie's strength and resilience I have no doubt that she has her very own plan which as her parents we are totally behind her. 

This charity was totally unknown to me previous to this and we were truly grateful for being able to access the services at Bristol Children's Hospital and not only that but those extra little touches that made such a difference in such a difficult time.
