Level Water gives children with disabilities a fair start in sport. They offer bespoke one-to-one swimming lessons until they can join group lessons and take the sport as far as they like. And we might just create the next generation of Paralympians along the way.
I hurt my back so badly I couldn't walk and suffered chronic pain. I have permanent nerve damage from the incident but am lucky to have made such a full recovery.
Swimming helped me so much, not just physically, but emotionally. Water gave me the freedom I didn't have on land, I'd like to raise money to give a child that freedom.
I also swim in memory of my beloved Angela.
Angela and I swam to be happy when we really weren't. She believed, as I do, that sport gives children life. She would have told me to go for this, that it was important. I will use my training to remember her strength
