I am not a runner, I have never been a runner....so today I started my training for The Great North Run! As a parent and a teacher, I need to lead by example and do things that challenge me! I have a few stone to lose, fitness to regain and very importantly, I need to work out how to run and breathe at the same time!

I am hoping to show my pupils that just because something feels impossible, it doesn't mean that we shouldn't give it a go!

I am raising money for CAFOD. It's a charity that I have been involved with from childhood and I recently became the CAFOD lead in my parish. I thought that I should really lead by example and do something big!

So let the training commence!
