I managed to secure a place in the 2015 London Marathon through the ballot by some lucky chance! I've had to defer until 2016 due to a knee injury but I have to managed to persuade Claire (my twin) to join in!

Unfortunately a few years ago my grandma passed away after suffering with Alzheimer's for a number of years. So I've taken this amazing opportunity to raise as much money for this great charity - Alzheimer's Society in memory of her.

Alzheimer's society is the UK's leading dementia charity specializing in finding prevention, causes and treatments and a cure for dementia as well as raising awareness and providing support for families and sufferers. Dementia affects over 830,000 people in the UK and around 23 million of the UK population have a close friend or family member with dementia. These statistics show how research is vital to find a cure for this prevalent disease. 

I will need all the support I can get on the day so if you can get down to come watch, it would be great to see as many friendly faces as possible!
