Story
This year, I run the Virgin London Marathon in loving memory of Kirste Bowman (Snellgrove).
Kirste was diagnosed with Breast Cancer aged 35 and was determind to continue to make the most of her life. For those who were lucky enough to know Kirste, she was and still is an inspiration. Kirste had an amazing energy for life, was incredibly fun to be with and raised thousands of pounds for Breast Cancer Campaign by running an amazing 23 marathons.
On Thursday 9th February 2012, Kirste passed away in her sleep aged just 42. Kirste leaves behind a husband, family, friends and colleagues who will never forget her. She will be sorely missed.
Therefore, this marathon I run for you Kirste. Although I didn't know you as well as others, you touched my heart in a way I will never forget. The fun we had marathon training and fundraising has imprinted on me forever. For this, I sincerely thank you.
Help me raise funds for Breast Cancer Campaign and help many others. It's not just the charities that rely on donations, it's the people who depend on the donations. Please donate what you can.
