Story

Alzheimer’s disease is a cruel disease which robs a person and their loved ones of the person with the disease’s personality, independence and ability to interact with others. There is still lots that needs to be done to research into this condition and support those living with it. Fundraising is so critical to help with this.

We have chosen to raise money for this charity as our lovely dad unfortunately suffers with this cruel disease. Luckily for us he is at the earlier stages of this disease so is able to join in on this walk with us.

What makes it extra symbolic for us is the 13 mile walk is around Ullswater and it’s beautiful fells. My dad is from Penrith in the Lakes so we have many memories of family holidays from this area.

Please join in supporting us by raising money for this wonderful charity.

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
