Event: Starlight Hike - Cheltenham, on 16 October 2021
In memory of Gina And Other Friends We’Ve Lost G
This year we want to make Cheltenham shine bright in memory of those we love, so grab your friends and wear as much neon and colourful lights as you can to help raise funds for Sue Ryder's expert palliative care.

Story

This time last year our dear friend Gina was cared for at Leckhampton Court until she sadly died at the age of 49 years.  We miss her everyday. A group of us, ‘Gina’s Gals’ and friends have taken the opportunity to join this years Starlight hike in memory of our gorgeous girl and other friends and family that we have lost.

The event is also a fundraiser for Sue Ryder, which offers the expert care someone needs at the end of their life. Whether in one of their hospices,  such as Leckhampton Court, neurological centres or in their own home. Your donations will help Sue Ryder to do this.£21 could pay for one hour of care, allowing the time for expert pain relief so that someone can die more peacefully.£65 could give a family bereavement support, so that they can come to terms with their loss and remember a lifetime of love.£500 could give 24 hours of care and support, allowing a family to share love in those precious final days.

Times have been so hard for so many with Covid etc, but if you would like to donate a few £, Leckhampton Court  would be so very grateful.. Every penny counts..

Sue Ryder is here to make sure everyone approaching the end of their life or living with grief can get the support they need. There is no one size fits all when it comes to how we cope and the help we need, but with our support, no one has to face dying or grief alone. We are there when it matters.
